Project Pan Progress

Warning - this post is very picture heavy!

Project Pan Progress

Hello! As you may or may not know, I've taken it upon myself this month of September to begin a Project Pan/Makeup-related spending ban. In my previous blogpost, I didn't specify which products I'd like to use up. It is now September 25th and I wanted to share my progress!

I also apologise - these photos were taken with shitty iPhone 4S quality. My photo-taking camera is out of battery and apparently we have none in my house. Can you believe it?! Need to get some of those soon.

First up is something I completely finished up today - My 4th (yes, FOURTH) Maybelline FIT! Me powder in #120. This powder I have repurchased so many times, but I often forget about it & it sits in my draw. I already have a backup I bought months ago when I was using this constantly, but then I forgot to finish this one!!  I am glad I used this up before the warmer months as this can get a little too light for me.

Next up is my Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 003 Peach Glow. I bought this about 2 years ago now & forgot about it until this year. As you can see, I dropped and broke it... I started using it again around April/May, and made it a personal mission just to hit pan from a full surface. I successfully did this last week! This was a powder I was going to be satisfied with by just seeing that shiny surface peeping through, so I am happy with the progress on this.

This next one is a bit tricky. I began my Project Pan wanting to finish this powder, until I realised how much I really love it. I received this Natio Mineral Pressed Powder in Soft Tan back in April in the giant Priceline gift-with-purchase. I have recently noticed that the Natio stand no longer sells this powder, which makes me want to preserve it.. I have hit pan though, so I think I might count this as 1 of my 10 products if I don't finish anything else.

Next up is something no one will probably recognise... This Revlon duo in Chocolate Bar I have had since.... Well, I'd like to say late 90's/early 2000's!! My Mum bought this for me when I competed in dance competitions and I found it last year (amongst some long expired makeup, yuck!) and decided to keep it. The golden shade had not even hit pan when I started to re-use this in April this year (April seems to be a popular month in this post?!) so this is a HUGE achievement. It's almost gone! Thank goodness too, it isn't very pigmented. The brown 'chocolate' shade is nice though.

Next up is my Maybelline Baby Lips lipbalm in Re-energising Orange. I bought this somewhat recently (the same day as my giant review post on the Baby Lips collection) and this was the scent I liked the least. I have kept this in my makeup bag and it has been my go-to balm ever since. I really want to use this up so that I can use a nicer scent (like Mango Pie!) but these things bloody last forever! I will be glad to see this one go.

I have no real way of proving this, but my Revlon PhotoReady AirMousse Foundation is pretty much gone! This also seemed to last forever which was a good thing, as it's a bit pricey for my liking ($35!!). As it's an opaque aerosol can I have no way of telling if it's empty other than to shake it and press the nozzle. When I press the nozzle, little scrappy bits of foundation shoot out.. I'll have to demonstrate on video when I finish my project, but I don't think I can use it anymore. I also have a backup of this already waiting in my collection as it's my favourite foundation, but I'm not opening newbies up until this project is over.

My Maybelline One by One mascara is not only drying up, but seems to be almost gone?! Barely any product comes out on the wand anymore, so I think this will be done soon. It'll be past it's expiry soon anyway.

This concealer... A love/hate relationship definitely exists. I think this is way too over priced for what it is! I'm pretty sure I paid $18 for it. The one in the US is different I believe (for many reasons including shade range, consistency) but I am not a fan of this one and I will be glad to get rid of it. It is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in 01 Ivory. I've been trying to use this up since March!! I think it's finally hit it's end, and to top it off, it wouldn't twist any further today when I tried to use it. Guess this is done.

I. Hate. This. Primer. IT NEVER ENDS! (Another re-occuring theme here..) This is the ModelsPrefer eye primer and I don't like anything about it. It is too thick, it doesn't spread or blend, it either comes out  too sheer or too gluggy - there is no medium! It also smells weird and doesn't do anything special for my eyeshadow. Using this everyday instead of my Maybelline Color Tattoo has been a struggle. Some days I've been using it AS WELL as the tattoo. Unfortunately not finished yet, but it's on the to-do list.

My Missha Auto Eyebrow Pencil in Grey Brown was once upon a time my holy-grail item. I have since purchased other brow pencils to try out and I am just trying to finish this one up. They also don't stock this formula/pencil anymore - I went to repurchase it and got a new one which doesn't even have a spooly on the end?! WHAT?! It has a weird eyeliner smudger-type thing on the end? Considering just giving that away. Anyway, not long to go.

The next few products are things that I am trying to use up, but I'm unsure as to whether they will make it into the project for sure.

This Maybelline Mineral Power Powder (what a mouthful) is something I'd like to use up, but have no real way of telling when it's gone?! At one point a few months ago I thought I was out, bought a new one, and then discovered this one is STILL GOING?! Being a loose powder in such a ridiculous container, I can't seem to open it and have a good look inside as to how much is left. Tilting it sideways is as good as I can get it, but still the plastic is a bit stained.

The Essence StayNatural concealers are my favourite concealers this year & they are so affordable! I've almost used up this one, but I'm not in a hurry to finish it (hence not decided on whether or not it'll make it into the project). I've also been putting this one aside to try and use up the Maybelline one I mentioned earlier.

My Girlz Only Dry Shampoo in Party Nights is also nearing empty - again, being an aerosol can, you'll just have to trust me. I am unsure as to whether or not this can be included as I did purchase a new dry shampoo & dry conditioner within my spending ban period.

I have used up this Soap2Go Hand Sanitizer during this period, but I don't really think I can include it... But uh here it is! Completely empty!

No, this is not Ultra Firming Creme. Inside this container is a moisturiser sample I got from a family member and I love it, but I want to get through it so that I can buy the full size. Doing well so far. I originally said I wanted to include skincare, so if this makes it in, that would be why.

And there you have it! My progress so far! I hope you enjoyed this ridiculously long post!!
Hopefully I can finish up some more products soon!
